Barefoot Walk

AIDS Orphans and Street Children

Suggested Days:
Saturday or Sunday, holidays
Suggested Times: 9 A.M. – 4 P.M.

Many AIDS orphans in Africa have no shoes and are forced to go barefoot.

So choose a date to kick off your shoes and collect donations of shoes for AIDS orphans in Africa!

Imagine living a life where your feet are cracked, calloused, and bleeding with no covering, needing to walk miles to go anywhere. In Sub-Saharan Africa there are over 16 million children who have been orphaned as a result of the HIV/AIDS pandemic. Most of these children are too poor to afford even the basic needs of life; shoes are a luxury many only dream about.

You could help bring some hope to these desperate children by your participation in the “Barefoot Walk” AIDS orphans fundraiser. Would you be willing to rally together your youth group, your friends, and even your church

to make this possible? Kick off your own shoes, grab a wheelbarrow, and walk door to door requesting donations in the way of pairs of shoes and a donation of $1.00 per shoe, $2.00 a pair to cover the expense of shipping a huge container to Africa. When you are finished for the day, you can “choose” to slip on your shoes knowing you’ve given that same opportunity to a child overseas.

If you have chosen to put a sole on a child’s foot and a smile on their face would you contact us right away? Please e-mail [email protected] and let us know of your decision to rally together with so many others just like you who care about these children in Africa. We will all begin praying for your group and your neighbor’s

CATCH THE VISION!!

Let your soles walk for another for just a day!
